The Bitcoin market has seemed to slow, maybe even top out compared to the ridiculous gains we’ve seen recently. Maybe, there is a reason behind this slowdown. Is it because the difficulty is rising with the huge rush of miners hashing away? Or could the speculators now be seeing the inherent flaws in the BTC currency?
I have a theory. A new cryptocurreny has been in the work for sometime. Zerocoin.
Zerocoin
Zerocoin is actually not intended as a replacement for Bitcoin. It is proposed as a separate anonymous currency which is designed to live side-by-side with Bitcoin on the same block chain. Zerocoins are fully exchangeable on a one-to-one basis with bitcoins, which means (in principle) you can use them with existing merchants.
Another wait and see. Is Zerocoin too late to the game? Or will the timing of Zerocoin be just right with all the worldwide attention to Cryptocurrency.
